Start by calling the practice
Dental pain, swelling, trauma, a broken tooth, or a lost restoration may need prompt attention. Call the practice and describe what happened, your symptoms, and any relevant health information. Appointment availability and the appropriate next step depend on the situation.
When medical emergency care may be necessary
Call emergency services or seek urgent medical care for difficulty breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, significant facial trauma, rapidly spreading swelling, or other potentially life-threatening symptoms.
Before the dental visit
Follow instructions provided by a qualified clinician. Avoid placing aspirin or other medication directly on oral tissues. If a tooth or restoration has broken, keep any recovered pieces and tell the practice about the injury when you call.
Excellence Dental Care does not publish a separate emergency telephone number. Use the main practice number for dental concerns.
